OBITUARY

WILLIAM NYSWANER

William Nyswaner, age 83 of Beallsville, PA died Friday, August 20, 2004 in Washington Hospital, Washington, PA. He was born October 14, 1920 in Clarksville, PA a son of the late John B. and Helen Blackburn Nyswaner. Mr. Nyswaner worked for Bethlehem Mines Corp. Mine #58 in Marianna and later worked for Pittsburgh-DeMoines Steel Corp., Pittsburgh, PA for several years, fifteen of which he served as a Foreman in field construction. After retiring from Pittsburgh-DeMoines he again resumed his career with the mines working at Vesta #5 as a welder in maintinence until retiring again in 1983. Mr. Nyswaner was a 32-degree mason in the F & AM lodge 237, Beallsville, PA and also a member of the Lodge of Perfection, Uniontown, PA. he also belonged to the United Mine Workers of America and the Boilermakers. He served as a street commissioner for the Borough of Beallsville and was a member of Grace United Methodist Church. Mr. Nyswaner enjoyed his family and was an avid outdoorsmen. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing and gardening. On November 30, 1940 he married Laura Pepper Nyswaner who survives. Also surviving in addition to his wife are two daughters - Mary Elizabeth Miller and her husband Barry of Scenery Hill, PA and Judy Davis and her husband Mickey of Fredericktown, PA; five grandchildren - Keith and Jeff Miller, Amy Wolenski and Aaron and Michael Davis; eight great grandchildren - Joshua, Jenna, Katlyn, Madelyn and Kenneth Miller, Helena Wolenski and Hannah and Jacob Davis; two sisters - Ruth Tubbs of Sebring, FL and Joanne Watkins of Pencraft, PA; Deceased is a sister Dortha Baum.

Friends will be received from 1 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday and from 11:00 to 1:00 p.m. the hour of services Monday, August 23, 2004 in the John B. Greenlee Funeral Home, 2830 Main St., Beallsville, PA. Interment will be in Beallsville Cemetery, Beallsville, PA. A Masonic service will be held on Sunday August 22, 2004 at 7:30pm.
